27-7-2024: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha, India has weaken into a Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and weaken gradually. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

                   According to the (06:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Ayeyarwady River at Myitkyina is (861) cm and the water level rose about (13) feet within (1)day.

                 The water levels, which rose at Upper Ayeyarwady River, may rise above their present water levels by about (10) feet to (12) feet at Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha, Thabeikyin, Mandalay, Sagaing and Myinmu during the next (1) to (6)days, about (8) feet to (10) feet at Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan and Pyay during the next (1) to (8) days, and  about (6)feet to (8) feet at Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the next (3) to (10)days.

It is advised that the vessels running along the river and those who made plantations on sandbank during these periods should make precaution measures for the rise of water level.
