It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Two low pressure areas may form over the North Bay of Bengal Monsoon and one may further intensify into a depression. Monsoon will be strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, below normal Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about normal in NayPyiTaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Tanintharyi Regions and Shan, Chin States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (9) days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and (3) to (6) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Kayah States.
