25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (21st  – 25th of May), Deltaic Areas during (26th – 31st of May). A Low Pressure Area may form over the South Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be strong. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Naypyitaw, Saging, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and about normal in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.

Rainy days are expected about 8 to 10 days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and about 5 to 7 days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State.
