It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. Southwest Monsoon is likely to withdraw from Central Myanmar areas during (22 - 27) of September and Deltaic areas during 28 September to 3 October. Monsoon will be weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over North Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be likely below normal in Kachin State, above normal in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about normal in  Upper Sagaing Region and Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (9) days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and (4) to (6) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan State.
