16-2-2026:  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A Low Pressure Area may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression.  Southwest monsoon is likely to withdraw from Northern Myanmar Area during (21-25) of September and from Central Myanmar Area during (26-30) of September. Monsoon will be moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day 

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern & Eastern) Shan States, below normal in Kachin State and about normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State.

Rainy days are expected about 8 to 10 days in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and about 5 to 7 days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States.
