30-11-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs.   Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 Typhoon “KALMAEGI” Condition

According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “KALMAEGI” over the South China Sea has moved Westwards and it is centered at about 260 Nautical miles Southeast of Da Nang(Vietnam).

The Typhoon “KALMAEGI” is located at Latitude 13.2 degree North and Longitude 111.5 degree East, centre pressure of Typhoon “KALMAEGI”is 940 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 100 miles per hour at 10:30 hrs MST today.

Next 24 hours forecast

It is forecast likely continue to move West and may cross south of Da Nang, the Vietnam coast at tonight. Thereafter, it is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may continue to cross boundary area of Vietnam and Laos as a severe tropical storm during next 24 hours.

General Caution

            Due to the reminant of cloud from Typhoon “KALMAEGI”, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States with regionally and isolated heavyfalls in some region during 8-11-2025 to 10-11-2025. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flight and irrigation dams.
