Very Severe Cyclonic Strom

          According to the observations at (18:00) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and intensifined into the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR). It is centered at about (80) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Cuddalore, about (80) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry and about (120) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chenn‌ai (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) is coded yellow stage.

          Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) is located at Latitude (11.2) degree North and Longitude (81.0) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (980) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (85)miles per hour at (18:00) hrs MST today.

          The Very Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) is forecast to move Northwestwards and cross near Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts around Karaikal and Mamallapuram (Indina) about today midnight.
