24-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Mid Monsoon Period

          Mid monsoon period is a period of starting from 1st July to the end of August.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Three Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into the Depressions. Monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. One monsoon break may form during the mid monsoon period.

Rain Condition

Rain are likely to be expected below normal rain in Kachin State, above normal in Mandalay and Magway Regions, about normal in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi  Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin  and Mon States.
