28-8-2025: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Odisha and adjoining Chhatitisgarh, India, has moved West-Northwestwards slowly and reached the central parts of Chhatitisgarh, India. It is likely continue to move West–Northwestwards and gradually weakened. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Mid Monsoon Period

The mid monsoon period is establishment of first July to the end of August.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Four low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and two may further intensify into Depressions. Monsoon will be moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions

Rain or thundershowers are likely below normal in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and about normal in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan States.
