8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 735 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 250 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 455 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Three low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and two may further intensify into the depression. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal from Deltaic areas during (1-6) of October and from Southern Myanmar areas during (7-12) of October. Weather will be partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal and monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain condition and Rainy Day 

Rain or thundershowers are likely above normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon Rakhine, Shan States.

Rainy days are expected about 14 to 20 days in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States and about 8 to 13 days in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Rakhine, (Northern & Eastern) Shan States.
