1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea on 24-11-2025. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southeast Bay during subsequent 48 hours. Due to the Well Marked Low Pressure Area, occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
