20-2-2026 According to the observations at 05:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West–Northwestwards towards Sri Lanka during next 24 hours. Weather is partlyc cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

            According to the observations at 05:30 hours MST today, yesterday’s the Land Depression which crossed the North Sri Lanka Coast  has moved Westwards, reached over North Sri Lanka and adjoining Gulf of Mannar and it has downgraded as a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely continues to move Westwards and gradually weaken.
