24-5-2024:According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, a depression over Central Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards and now lies over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (275) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco Island, (310) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun, (340) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Thandwe (Myanmar), (370) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), (350) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island and (380) Nautical miles South of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong  over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal moved West-Northwestwards and weakened into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu coasts (India). It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards and weaken into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours.
