7-5-2024 Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the  South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Well Marked Low Pressure Area Condition

Issued at (11:00) hours M.S.T on 6-12-2022

According to the observations at (10:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and it intensified into a Well MarkedLow Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and concentrate into a Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal during next (12) hrs. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move West-Northwest wards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm and reach North Tamilnadu-Puducherry and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) around (8.12.2022).

General caution

Due to the Well Marked low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isloated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Shan (South and East), Rakhine, Kayah States from this morning to next (72) hrs. Occasionally squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

Due to the Well Marked low pressure area, people should be awaredthe rainfall with strong wind, thunderstorms, and domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
