According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may cross to North Odisha and adjoining West Bengal Coasts(India) during next (24) hours.

General caution

  1. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts from commencing noon today to during next (24) hours.
  2. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in the coastal areas with regionally and isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States from commencing noon today to during next (24) hours.

Under the influence of Well Marked Low Pressure Area, people should be aware of strong wind, heavy rain, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and also domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
