According to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, thewell marked low pressure areahas moved Magway Region near Mindon and it is weaken into a low pressure area. It is continuous to move North-Northeastwards.

            It is continuous to moveNorth-Northeastwards near Minhla, MagwayRegion, the present stage of the well marked low pressure area is coded brown stage.

During next (6) hrs forecast

            The low pressure area is likely continuous to move North-Northeastwards and it is forecast to weaken gradually.

General caution

  1. Due to the low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw,Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States with regionally and isolated heavy falls in some Regions and States during  today evening to (24.3.2022).
  2. During the low pressure areais continuous moving to Magway Region near Minhla, maximum wind speedmay reach (20-25) mph in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Rakhine States.

Due to the well marked low pressure area, people should be aware rain or thundershowers with strong wind, lightning, flash floods in small streams and mountain streams and landslides in the mountainous areas.
