SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagiang and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, (Northern and Eastern) Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Bago Region, Rakhine and Kayin States and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Shwekyin and Madauk (5.59)inches each, Paingkyone (5.47)inches, Hlaingbwe (5.04) inches, Shwegwin (4.52)inches, Putao (4.33)inches , Phyu (4.14)inches, Nyaunglaybin (4.09)inches, Thandwe (3.70)inches, Maungdaw (3.62) inches, Paung (3.19)inches and Kawthaung (3.11)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 04th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and (Southern and Eastern) Shan States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9– 12)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
