26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Chin, Kayin and Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Ann (8.47)inches, Pathein (7.56)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (7.02)inches, Kyuaktaw (6.89)inches, Myauk U (6.02)inches, Sittwe (5.39)inches, Myaungmya (5.12)inches, Paletwa (4.72)inches, Ngathaichaung (4.06)inches, Maubin (3.50)inches, Belin (3.39)inches, Thandwe (3.22)inches, Gwa (2.83)inches, Kamamaung (2.72) inches and Magway (2.68)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th JUNE, 2018: Rain will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, (Southern & Eastern)Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Bago and Yangon Regions, Chin, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls will be experienced rough seas Deltaic, Golf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (10 - 12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (6 - 9) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
