SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Dawei (5.20)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.90 )inches, Hkamti and Yay (3.54)inches each, Kyar-In-Seikkyi (3.12)inches, Hainggyigyun and Chaungsone (3.03)inches each, Launglon (2.76) inches, Mudon (2.60)inches, Hpa-an (2.32)inches, Kyeikdon (2.28)inches and Belin (2.05)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Southern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7 - 10)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
