25-11-2025:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca almost stationary still persists. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 250 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  465 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Kayah State and scattered in Magway Region and Kachin State and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated  heavy falls in Yangon Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kya-In-Seikkyi (4.06)inches, Khayan (3.35)inches, Mudon (2.83) inches, Kawthaung (2.80)inches, Thaton (2.68) inches, Kawkareik and Paing Kyone (2.60)inches each, Launglon  (2.44)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.40) inches, Kataingti (2.30)inches, and Myeik (2.24)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 8)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
