SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Kayah State and scattered in Magway Region and Kachin State and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kya-In-Seikkyi (4.06)inches, Khayan (3.35)inches, Mudon (2.83) inches, Kawthaung (2.80)inches, Thaton (2.68) inches, Kawkareik and Paing Kyone (2.60)inches each, Launglon (2.44)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.40) inches, Kataingti (2.30)inches, and Myeik (2.24)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 8)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
