SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, scattered in Yangon Region, Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Napyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (1.74)inches, Yangon(Kabaaye) (1.50)inches, Machanbaw and Loilin (1.38)inches each, Putao (1.34)inches, Ann (1.10)inches and Nyauntone (1.08)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
