SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Chin States. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay Region, Kachin, Southern Shan and Kayah States and about January average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) each in Heho and Hakha and (7°C) each in Thipaw, Falam, Tiddim and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (0.75)inch, Mawlaik (0.59)inch, Myitkyina (0.47)inch, Monyin and Pinlaebu (0.35)inch each, Katha (0.28)inch and Mogaung (0.20)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st January, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
