SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperature in Yangon Region, (2°C) above February average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Kachin State and about February average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Thipaw, (6°C) each in Namsam and Heho, (7°C) in Naungcho and (8°C) each in Moemate, Pinlaung, Hakha and Mogoke. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao and Machanbaw (0.08)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st February, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
