27-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” crossed in the interior of Indonesia has recurved and moved South-Southeast and now lies again over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca. It is centered at about 360 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 140 Nautical miles Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 50 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  460 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka has further intensified into a Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Sri Lanka coast.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 180 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 395 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy and over the over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Mon State, scattered in Southern Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Kachin and Kayah States with isolated heavy falls in Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May normal temperature in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and Kayah States, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State,  (3°C) below May normal temperature in Taninthayi Region and about May normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (44°C) each in Monywa, Nyaung Oo and Gangaw, (43°C) each in Kyemone, Myinmu, Myingyan, Minbu, Magway, Pauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyeikkhame (3.62)inches, Chaungsone (1.50)inches, Kyeikmayaw (0.83)inch, Launglon (0.79)inch and Yay (0.67)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Mon State, scattred in Yangon Regions and Kayin state, isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
