26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Mon State, scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Yangon Region and Kayin State with regionally heavy falls in Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May normal temperatures in Kayah State, (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Chin States, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State, (2°C) below May normal temperatures in Kayin States and about May normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (47°C) in Chauk, (46°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan and  Gangaw, (45°C) each in Monywa, Nyaung Oo  and Pauk, (44°C) each in Kalewa, Mingin, Sagaing, Kyemone, Mandalay, Tada U, Magway, Pakokku and Taungdwingyi. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyeikkhame (4.21)inches, Chaungsone (4.02)inches, Mawlamyine (3.54) inches, Yay (2.09) inches, Launglon(1.38)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin and Kayin states, isolated in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States.
