26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Chin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon States, isolated in Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperatures in Magway and Bago Regions, Northern Shan and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and  about May normal temperature in Taninthayi Region. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk, (43°C) in Gangaw, (42°C) each in Myinmu, Nyaung Oo, Magway and Sinbyugyun, (41°C) each in Monywa, Myingyan, Minbu, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi and Pauk. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Yay (2.21)inches, Mudon (1.93)inches, Kawthaung (1.18)inches, Tiddim and Ramthlo (0.32)inch each, Kyeikmayaw (0.28)inch, Tongzan and Dawei (0.23)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Mon State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
