Deep Depression
According to the observations at (21:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “JAWAD” over the West central Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards and weaken into a Deep Depression at about (520) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco-Island, (570) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar), (100) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (140)Nautical miles South of Gopalpur, (185)Nautical miles South-Southwest of Puri and (230)Nautical miles South- Southwest of Paradip (India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Deep Depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of Deep Depression, center pressure and wind
Deep Depression is located at Latitude (16.9) degree North and Longitude (84.8) degree East, centre pressure of Deep Depression is (1002) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (40-45) miles per hour at (21:30) hrs MST today.
During next (36) hrs forecast
The Deep Depression is likely to move North- Northeastwards and weaken into a Depression during next (18) hrs and then move North-Northwestward along Odisha coast reaching near Puri around (5.12.21). It is likely to weak further and continue to move North-Northeastwards along Odisha Coast towards West Bengal coast , India and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area around (6.12.21).
General caution
Due to the Deep Depression, rain or thundershowers will be isolated to scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States during next (72) hrs and squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
