21-2-2026 According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West- Northwest and may reach  Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoning Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Deep Depression

            According to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Bengladesh and adjoining Ganetic West Bengal has moved Northeastwards and weakened into a Depression. It centered at about (65) miles North-Northwest of Dhaka(Bengladesh). It is continuously to move Northeastwards.

During next (12)hrs forecast

            It is likely to weaken into a Low Pressure Area and continuously forecast to move Northeastwards during next (12)hours.

General caution

Under the influence of the Depression, rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Thanintharyi Regions, Kachin and Chin States, fairly widespread in Kayin and Mon States, isolated to scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and  Chin States within next (4.5.2019) to (5.5.2019).

             Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts..
