Depression

 

According to the observations at (21:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about (330) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island, (440) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (485) Nautical miles South- Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (515)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Gopalpur and (540)Nautical miles South-Southeast of Paradip(India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

 

 

Position of depression, center pressure and wind

            Depression is located at Latitude (11.4) degree North and Longitude (88.5) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (32) miles per hour.

 

During next (48) hrs Forecast

The depression is contuinous to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over Central Bay of Bengal around(3.12.2021). It is likely to reach Westcentral Bay of Bengal (off North Andrapradesh- South Odisha Coasts, India) around (4.12.2021)

 

General caution

            Due to the depression, Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Due to the depression,people should be aware strong wind and domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along MyanmarCoasts.
