Depression
According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Eastcentral Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal has moved westwards and it is centered at about (165) Nautical miles Southwest of Sittwe, (250) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Gwa, (280) Nautical miles Northwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (230) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Paradip and (315) Nautical miles East of Gopalpur(India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of depression, center pressure and wind
Depression is located at Latitude (18.8) degree North and Longitude (90.4) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (998) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (40) miles per hour at (05:30) hrs MST today.
During next (48) hrs Forecast
The depression Likely to intensify into a deep depression during next (12)hrs and it is very likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross near South Odisha-North Andhrapradesh Coast(India) during next (48)hrs.
General caution
Due to the depression, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States with regionally heavyfalls to isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States during next (48)hrs comancing today morning. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
