30-11-2025: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs.   Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Depression

            According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over the North Andaman Sea has moved to North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (75) Nautical miles Northwest of Myeik (Myanmar), (60) Nautical miles Southwest of Dawei (Myanmar), about (255) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Coco Island (Myanmar), about (245) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Yangon (Myanmar).

It is near Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded orange stage.

 Position of depression, center pressure and wind

            Depression is located at Latitude (13.2) degree North and Longitude (97.6) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (1002) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (35) miles per hour at (12:30) hrs MST today.

During next (6) hrs forecast

            The depression is forecast to weaken into low pressure area near Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts during next (6)hrs.

General caution

            Due to the depression, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Nay Pyi Taw, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-12) feet off and along Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and Mon-Taninthayi Coasts during (3.4.2021) to (7.4.2021).

           Due to the depression, people should be aware rain or thundershowers with strong wind and lightning and domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
