Drought

A drought event is defined as follows for a state, division (or township):

(a)       A drought is defined as a rainfall event that is less than (20%) of the (30) year average rainfall for more than (7) days. Such drought is defined as a minor drought.

(b)       A drought event that is less than (50%) of the (30) year average rainfall for more than (15) days is defined as a major drought.
