24-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A very strong earthquake of magnitude (7.8) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Near East Coast of Kamchatka, Russia), latitude 53.31°N, longitude 160.40°E, depth (10) kilometers, about (4078) miles northeast of Naypyitaw seismological observatory was recorded at (01)hr (28)min (12)sec M.S.T on 19th September, 2025.
