Heavy Rain
During the monsoon season, the monsoon winds are very strong, and when the cyclones cross the Myanmar coast and the Bangladesh coast, heavy rain falls across Myanmar.
Based on the differences in the rainfall pattern due to the topography, heavy rain is classified as follows -
(a) Rainfall of (1.50) inches or more in 24 hours (Central regions such as Lower Sagaing Region, Magway Region)
(b) Rainfall of (3.00) inches or more in 24 hours (Other regions outside the Central Region)
