SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Chin, Mon States and isolated in Mandalay, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State and weather have been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Day temperatures were 2°C above May average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C below May average temperature in Naypyitaw, 3°C below May average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.0°C in Nyaunglaybin, 38.8°C in Chauk, 38.0°C in Kawkareik, 37.8°C each in Aunglan and Hpa-an(Agro-Met), 37.6°C in Magway, 37.5°C in Myinmu, 37.4°C in Pyay, 37.3°C in Zalun and 37.2°C in Bago on 4-5-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.09 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepyingyi), 0.98 inch in Mawlamyine, 0.63 inch in Kyeikkhame, 0.32 inch in Mogaung, 0.28 inch each in Pyinoolwin and Kyeikmayaw and 0.24 inch each in Kawthaung and Tiddim.
BAYINFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th May 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kachin, Chin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon States.
