10-1-2026 According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal(off Northeast Sri Lanka Coast) has moved West-Northwestwards and starts crossing North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna as a land depression. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAYINFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy lsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 7th May 2025: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Bago Regions and Kayah, Rakhine States. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions a. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
