SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated haevyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.29 inches in Chaungsone, 3.98 inches in Pyay, 3.94 inches in Tharrawady, 3.90 inches in Myitkyina, 3.87 inches in Danubyu, 3.86 inches in Zalun, 3.54 inches in Thayat, 3.03 inches in Sittwe, 2.99 inches in Kawkareik and 2.95 inches each in Aunglan and Kyeikkhame.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th June 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
