SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Gwa (4.53)inches, Myaungmya (2.28)inches, Taunggu (2.09)inches, Naypyitaw (Otarathiri)(2.05)inches, Dawei (1.96)inches, Pyinoolwin (1.88)inches, Maubin (1.81)inches, Naypyitaw Airport(Ela) and Belin (1.77)inches each, Kyeikkhame (1.69)inches, Lashio, Laiway and Naypyitaw (Zabuthiri) (1.66)inches each and Ngathaichaung (1.57)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State.
