SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin State, scattered in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, (Northern and Southern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Eastern Shan State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.86 inches in Minesat, 2.60 inches in Thaton, 2.28 inches in Paung Byin, 1.89 inches each in Hlegu and Belin, 1.86 inches in Shwekyin, 1.50 inches in Langkho, 1.45 inches in Paung, 1.42 inches each in Tatkon and Homalin and 1.34 inches in Phyarpon.

BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th July 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Kayah, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Mon, Eastern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Seas will be moderate off and along Rakhine Coasts. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Shan States.
