SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah, Rakhine States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Chin State, scattered in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.45 inches in Mogaung, 2.14 inches in Mongping, 2.13 inches in Myitkyina, 1.34 inches in Yamethein, 1.09 inches in Mongyawng, 0.98 inch in Yangon(Mingaladon), 0.87 inch in Shwekyin, 0.79 inch in Belin, 0.71 inch in Paung and 0.67 inches each in Madauk, Monywa and Kyaunggon.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Kachin, Shan States.
