BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Rakhine, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Upper sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States.
