BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 20th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, (Southern and Easthern)Shan State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State.
