BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
