SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Kayah, Kayin States, scattered in Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.32 inches in Wundwin, 2.80 inches in Madaya, 2.20 inches in Sittwe, 2.10 inches in Tachileik, 1.69 inches in Mandalay, 1.65 inches in Hakha, 1.50 inches in Putao, 1.36 inches in Mong Kung, 1.10 inches in Nyaungdon and 1.06 inches each in Pyinmana(Walgyi) and Machanbaw.
BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State and fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
