BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” over West Luzon Island and adjoining West Philippine Sea has moved West-Northwestwards and reached over the West Philippine Sea. It is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach into the South China Sea.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwday, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region.
