26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Yangon Region and isolated in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. Weather has been generally fair in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below November average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 2°C below November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, 2°C above November average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayah State, 4°C above November average temperature in Rakhine State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 4.0°C in Hakha, 7.0°C in Tiddim, 9.5°C in Loilin, 10.5°C in Homalin, 10.6°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 11.0°C each in Lashio and Mongyang, 12.1°C in Mingin and 13.6°C in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.94 inch in Yangon(Kaba-Aye), 0.48 inch in Khayan, 0.35 inch in Hlegu, 0.32 inch in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), 0.27 inch each in Okkan and Danubyu and 0.16 inch in Bago.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area has formed over the Southwest Bay of Bengal(off Sri Lanka Coast). It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards during the next 24 hours. Weather a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
