28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal(off Sri Lanka Coast) still persists. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards during the next 24 hours. Weather a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 17th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
