SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below November average temperatures in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Chin, Southern Shan States and 3°C above November average temperatures in Kachin State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 2.0°C in Hakha, 5.7°C in Loilin, 6.7°C in Heho, 7.0°C in Tiddim, 7.5°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 9.4°C in Pinlaung, 11.5°C in Mongyang, 12.0°C each in Loikaw and Nyaung Shwe and 12.4°C in Lashio. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.16 inch in Hkamti and 0.08 inch in Mogaung.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca has further intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the same region. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea on 24-11-2025. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southeast Bay during subsequent 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago Regions and Kayah, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
