SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C to 4°C below November average temperatures in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, 2°C below November average temperatures in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, 2°C above November average temperatures in Kachin, Rakhine States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 3.7°C in Hakha, 4.0°C in Loilin, 4.4°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 5.4°C in Heho, 9.1°C in Loikaw, 9.2°C each in Lashio and Taunggyi, 9.5°C in Mongyang, 10.0°C in Pinlaung, 10.5°C in Pyinoolwin and 10.9°C in Nyaung Shwe.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the depression over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca has moved Westwards and intensified over Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia into a Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR”. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 140 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 55 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and 390 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). It is likely to cross Northern Indonesia near Kuta Makmur during next 6 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move West-Southwestwards and recurve eastwards and gradually weaken during next 48 hrs. According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka has intensified into a Well Marked Lowe pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occassional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Shan States.FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 27th November 2025: Generally fair weather.
