SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 5°C to 6°C below November average temperatures in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Mon, Eastern Shan States, 3°C to 4°C below November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, 2°C below November average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.1°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 2.0°C in Hakha, 2.1°C in Loilin, 3.4°C in Heho, 5.5°C in Mongyang, 6.5°C in Taunggyi, 6.6°C in Lashio, 7.0°C each in Loikaw, Tiddim and Kengtung and 8.5°C in Nyaungshwe.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 235 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and may cross eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India. Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the severe tropical storm “KOTO” over the South China Sea almost stationary and it is centered at about 370 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Hochiminh, Vietnam. It is likely to move Westwards slowly.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th November 2025: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin, Shan States.
